Looking at the house online, I expected something darker than it is, and better cabinetry than it has. Despite its orientation, the natural light is okay. I like how the house feels, it's well put together but comes with some quirks that might need fixing down the track. Given the scarcity of homes with this accommodation and land content in the pocket, I doubt they are dealbreakers. You have enough space to have the extended family over and enough zones to still hide from Aunt Mary.

Protected in a heritage precinct, there is little to no chance of adverse development. This is about as secure as it gets: walking distance to the shops, the beach and the tram, on a block that is large for the neighbourhood. You're clear of the flood zone that runs down Page Street. Check on all points.

A fantastic looking house, pretty, with a well-maintained exterior, and to top it off, a corner block that lets light into the house. On first inspection, nothing jumped out at me that would suggest a problem.

Yes and no. Despite its orientation, it's not as dark as I thought it would be, though if you are solar powered it might be challenging. The corner position plays to your advantage here. Energy efficiency is probably where the house offers the most room for improvement: heating is hydronic, which we like to see, but the windows and front door are still to be done and would be well worth the investment.
